On 13th of March 2018, the CNCA has issued a new announcement regarding the renewal of infant formula producer registration. Only registered producers may export infant formula and dairy products to China since 2014.
- The official deadline for producers registered before the end of 2014 will be 31-12-2018. The application procedure is the same as through the original registration: the producer should contact their competent authority which shall collect the relevant documents and send to the CNCA via official channels.
The announcement, application form and procedure are expected to be translated by the competent authorities and then sent to the public in their native language.
Proof of Complying to Chinese Regulations
Producers need to hand in a report to prove that they have been consistently complying to Chinese regulations and standards. Such a report can be one of the following:
China HACCP is a certification scheme created by the CNCA. It is a governmental scheme that is customized to make sure a food producer, be it local or foreign, is conforming to the Chinese regulations of food safety. A foreign food producer in possession of a China HACCP is an excellent direct proof that it is working their best to comply with the Chinese regulations. Foreign dairy producers in possession of the Chinese HACCP has received facilitation of CNCA registration.
